Located in the Parvati Valley between the rivers Beas and Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District, Manikaran is major tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. Manikaran is set at an altitude of 1760 m. Hindus and Sikhs give great importance to Manikaran as a pilgrim center. It houses temples of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu and a gurudwara. Thousands of devotees visit Manikaran year after year. It is also famous for its scenic beauty and hot springs.
