Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and it is also the largest metropolitan city in Nepal. The city is set at an altitude of 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal bounded by four mountains including Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri. Kathmandu still holds an aura of medievalism with the architecture of many buildings dating back to medieval era. The culture of the city is spiritually rich with endless temples and alleys.
