Enchanting Kerala and Tamilnadu 
  Day 1 - Cochin.  

Arrive at the International Airport at Cochin. You will be met and transferred to the hotel. Check in for 2 nights. Cochin is called as the Queen of the Arabian Sea and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. One could see the various impressions left by the Arabs, Chinese, Dutch, Portuguese and finally the British in the older Cochin. Evening enjoy a sunset cruise around Cochin harbour. Overnight stay in the Hotel.

  Day 2 - Cochin.  

Morning visit the older part Cochin. This includes the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St Francis church and Chinese fishing nets
Evening drive to the theatre to witness the Kathakali dance, the tradition dance form of Kerala.

  Day 3 - Cochin / Alleppey.  

Late morning check out of the hotel and drive to Alleppey to board into the houseboat . Houseboats are former Cargo boats, now restructured and fitted with all amenities. There will be a cook and 2 oarsmen to assist you in the boat. All food are cooked and served inside the boat. It has a bedroom with a toilet, a living area where you can relax and have food and a kitchen. 

The boat will cruise through the backwaters in the daytime and will anchor itself at a convenient location at the night. Overnight stay in the Houseboat.

  Day 4 - Alleppey / Kumarakom.  

After breakfast disembark from the Houseboat at Kumarakom to check into the backwater resort for the night. 
Rest of the day is to relax by the resort.

  Day 5 - Kumarakom / Thekkady.  

Drive to Thekkady. Enroute enjoy a lunch with a family. Check into the Hotel for 2 nights.

  Day 6 - Thekkady.  

Morning, spice plantation Tour and visit to the spice market.
Evening, a boat ride in lake periyar to see the wild life. The probable animals to see are the wild elephants, Bison, Gaur, wild monkeys and a variety of birds.

  Day 7 - Thekkady / Madurai.  

Drive to Madurai, one of the ancient cities of India. Check into the hotel for 2 nights.
The main attraction in Madurai is the Meenakshi Temple, with its 12 towers, each at a height of 45 - 50 meters. Evening, visit the Meenakshi temple and the Thousand Pillared Mandapam

Overnight stay in the Hotel.

  Day 8 - Madurai.  
Morning enjoy a brief sight seeing of Madurai City. This includes the Gandhi Museum, ThirumalaNayakar Mahal and Mariammam Teppakulam, the temple tank.
Rest of the day is free for shopping.
Overnight stay in the Hotel.
  Day 9 - Madurai / Trichy / Tanjore.  

Drive to Tanjore enroute - visiting Trichy. Visit the Rock Fort Temple and the Sri Rangam temple at Trichy. After lunch proceed to Tanjore. Tanjore boasts on the glorious Chola culture. It was the capital of the Cholas, a dynasty of temple builders.
Check into the hotel for 2 nights.

  Day 10 - Tanjore.  

The sight seeing places in Tanjore includes Sri Brahadeshwara temple, built in the 10th centaury with a total height of 65 meters, The palace with huge corridors and spacious halls. The Sangeeth Mahal within the Palace is a striking example of the engineering skills of the ancient builders.

  Day 11 - Tanjore / Chidambaram / Pondichery.  

Drive to Chidambaram. The temple complex covers an area of 40 acres. Its has extensively carved Gopurams, a thousand pillared hall and 5 major halls each used for different celebrations/get together. After lunch proceed on to Pondichery. Check into the hotel for the night. 
Pondichery, The old french colony has retrieved its indian character, but the scent of the french influence can be found again in the red kepis of 

 
the police officers, French spelling on signboards and traffic signs and some buildings and old stones . In the evening, visit Sree Aurobindo Ashram. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
  Day 12 - Pondichery / Mahabalipuram.  

Drive to Mahabalipuram and check into the hotel for 2 nights.
Mahabalipuram is situated on the shore of Bay of Bengal and was a port of Pallavas. It is historically known for its rock cut monuments. The interesting monuments to see are Arjuna's Penance, a bas relief, 27 metres long and 9 metres high, The rock cut Mandapams situated within a radius of 1kms are known for their design and execution. 

Also interesting are the Rathas (temple chariots) with their Gopurams, multipillared and sculptured walls.
Rest of the day is free to relax in the beach. Overnight stay in the Hotel

 

Day 13 - Mahabalipuram/Kanchipuram/Mahabalipuram.

 

Morning, drive to Kanchipuram, known as the city of Thousand Temples. Visit the interesting temples. Kanchipuram is also famous for its exquisite hand woven silk fabrics.
Drive back to Mahabalipuram. Rest of the day is free.

Overnight stay in the Hotel.
 

Day 14 - Mahabalipuram / Madras.

 

Check out and drive to Madras the capital of Tamil Nadu state. It's the fourth largest city in India and is a bustling commercial center. Madras can boasts of an interesting flair of South Indian Art, Architecture, dance, music and festivals with rich cultural traditions.
Check into the hotel for the night.
Afternoon enjoy a short sight seeing tour of Madras city. 

This includes, Museum, St Thomas Mount, and Marina beach. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
 

Day 15 - Madras.

 

Check out of the hotel and transfer to the Madras Airport to connect to your departure flight.
